The Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System Link – also known as the 'RTS Link' – is a cross-border rapid transit system connecting Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Woodlands, Singapore.
SMRT RTS Pte. Ltd. of Singapore's SMRT Corporation Ltd and Prasarana RTS Operations Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia's Prasarana Malaysia Berhad will jointly operate RTS Link under RTS Operations Pte. Ltd.
Equipped with a Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling system supplied by Siemens Mobility, RTS Link trains will be capable of fully automated operations.
The RTS Link will be a standalone rail system with an estimated capacity during peak periods to serve up to 10,000 commuters per hour in both directions, and an expected ridership of about 40,000 commuters per day upon opening in end-2026.
Singapore and Malaysia has agreed that the existing Shuttle Tebrau service of the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) connecting Johor Bahru Sentral station and Woodlands Train Checkpoint, will cease operations within six months from the launch of passenger service for the RTS Link.

The RTS Link within Singapore's territory will consist of the RTS Link tunnel and viaduct, as well as the RTS Link Woodlands North station and the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) building, located next to Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) Woodlands North station.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) awarded the civil contract for the construction of RTS Link to Penta-Ocean Construction Co Ltd on 26 November 2020. This contract covers the construction of the RTS Link Woodlands North station, tunnels and the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) building in Singapore.
The construction of the RTS Link Woodlands North station, tunnels and the CIQ building started on 22 January 2021. Constructed underground at a maximum depth of 28 metres, the station will comprise of three stories, with two basement levels and an underground linkway to the CIQ building.
The RTS Link Woodlands North Station and CIQ building are approximately 10 times the size of a typical MRT station and are located adjacent to the TEL Woodlands North MRT station and seamlessly connected via an underground concourse.
The second civil contract for the construction of the RTS Link viaduct and tunnels in Singapore was awarded to China Communications Construction Company Limited (Singapore Branch) on 29 January 2021. The viaduct will stand above the Straits of Johor within Singapore's territory at a height of 25 metres, and continue inland and transition to underground tunnels connecting to the RTS Link Woodlands North station.
Construction for the RTS Link viaduct and tunnels commenced in the second quarter of 2021.
The RTS Link within Malaysia's territory will consist of the RTS Link viaduct, as well as the RTS Link Bukit Chagar station, RTS Link Maintenance Depot at Wadi Hana, and the Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ) building.
The RTS Link Bukit Chagar station will be co-located within a four-storey Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ) facility. The Sultan of Johor officiated the groundbreaking ceremony of the RTS Link Project on 22 November 2020.
