Ticketing machines allow commuters to manage their farecards for travel in the system.
The different types of machines that are being used in Singapore's main transportation network allows commuters to settle their ticketing needs - managing their personal CEPAS (Contactless e-Purse Application) smart cards, converting farecards to account-based ticketing and more.
The single-use Standard Ticket has been phased out for use on the system.

General Ticketing Machines by Cubic and Ascom are installed in all MRT and LRT stations since 2002 and replaces their predecessors for all ticketing services on the train network.
Two variants of the General Ticketing Machines are in use.
The machines were upgraded between November 2012 and May 2013 to accept the use and purchase of the new Standard Ticket. The new upgraded machines also feature a larger touch screen.
These machines accept payment by cash (notes and coins), NETS, credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard or JCB) and contactless mobile payment apps (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Android Pay).
The GTM can be used for the following:
NSL EWL BP Bus
Add Value Machine by TransitLink were installed in selected stations along the North-South and East-West Lines, Bukit Panjang LRT, most bus interchanges and selected locations in Singapore. The AVM is progressively being replaced by the Top-Up Kiosk.

Top-up Machines by ST Electronics are installed in stations along the Circle Line and Downtown Line, and selected stations on the North-South Line, East-West Line, Sengkang LRT and Punggol LRT.

TUK Only: NSL EWL NEL CCL DTL
The Assisted Service Kiosk and Top-Up Kiosk by Cubic Transportation Systems are installed in stations along the Thomson-East Coast Line.
The General Ticketing Machines at existing stations are currently being upgraded to the Top-Up Kiosk.
Cubic Transportation Systems developed the ASK in partnership with the Land Transport Authority to provide a new method of customer service to commuters.
On top of the typical card transaction tasks that can be done on traditional top-up machines, the ASK is also able to remotely connect a commuter with a customer service agent in the Ticketing Contact Centre via video call. The agents are able to assist them in serveral ways, such as answering their questions, to controlling the kiosk to perform an action.
These machines accept payment by NETS, credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard or JCB) and contactless mobile payment apps (Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Android Pay). Selected TUK machines that replaced the GTM also accept cash as payment.
