You must have at least S$3 in your stored value card or you will not be allowed to enter the train system.

Visit the Ticketing Service Kiosks or any SimplyGo Ticket Office (available at selected MRT stations) to check or add value into your travel card.

Automated fare gates

Tap your card on the automated fare gates to enter the train system. If you are a passenger in wheelchair, carrying bulky items or with a pram, use the wide fare gates to enter the system.

Note: You have up to two hours to complete your journey.

No additional fares are charged when transferring between these lines:

Do not tap out of the fare gates when transferring lines, except at these stations:

Note: The Sentosa Express and Changi Airport Skytrain systems are not connected with the MRT and LRT system. You will need to tap out to transfer to these systems.

Certain journeys can be completed within a shorter time frame by transferring to another station within walking distance.

There is no additional boarding charge for rail transfers made within 15 minutes in a single journey.

Alight at EW4 Tanah Merah.

Transfer to the train at platform C or D for journeys to CG1 Expo and CG2 Changi Airport.

Continuing towards the city, Pasir Ris and Tuas Link

Alight at CG Tanah Merah.

For journeys towards the city and EW33 Tuas Link, transfer to the train at platform B.

For journeys towards EW1 Pasir Ris, transfer to the train at platform A.


Travelling between Promenade and Marina Bay (Circle Line)

Continuing towards HarbourFront via Bishan

Train services from CE2 Marina Bay will end at CC6 Stadium during off-peak hours on weekdays, on Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays.

If you are heading towards CC29 HarbourFront from either CE2 Marina Bay or CE1 Bayfront, alight at CC6 Stadium and board the next train.


Travelling to Tuas West (East-West Line)

At Joo Koon

Board the train towards EW33 Tuas Link. The train will arrive every 4 to 12 minutes.

Service A only runs at Selected Hours

Bukit Panjang LRT will only be operating Service B via BP7 Petir during selected hours.

Use the parallel bus service 976 for journeys via Senja.

Service A operational hours:

  • Weekdays: Start–9am, 5pm–8pm
  • Saturdays: 11am–1pm, 5pm–7pm
